Ways We Help
The Big Trust is a charity dedicated to improving life chances in local communities. We have four core programmes that provide a range of services to empower people to achieve their full potential. Our programmes are designed to help people develop the skills and confidence to make a positive impact on their own lives and their local communities. By working with partners and local organisations, we strive to make a real difference to those in need.
Supporting adults whose lives are socially disadvantaged for a variety of different reasons, this could be due to lack of employment, financial worries, substance abuse and other situations. We provide opportunities and short term placements within our partner business to obtain sustainable employment.
Working with young people from the most deprived communities to show them clear examples of the world of work. With the help of our engaged business we are able to enable young people to enhance their own life chances and improve their future.
Community Impact Board
The Community Impact Board is a team of experts drawn from The Big Trust partner organisations as well as the wider business community. They are committed to working together, sharing knowledge and delivering lasting positive impact in the Liverpool City Region community and in its work places.
Working to improve the outcome of children across all phases of their learning journey. We do this by using the existing careers strategies in school to strengthen employer links. By exposing the young people on the programme to employers from different sectors of work.
